Interests:

I am interested in conducting interdisciplinary research within the realm of data science, using and developing data manipulation, visualization, analytics techniques, and frameworks to highlight the problems (and provide solutions for them) that trouble our society, whether related to climate change, systemic inequality, or similar issues. I am interested in developing visualizations both for the public and for private researchers or institutions (in the form of multimodal scientific visualization) that will function in the service of social good. I want to continue to work to making data and information more accessible, and I want to assist underserved communities with targeted research projects. I am also interested in further exploring the area of computer graphics.

Non-Work Related Activities/Interests:

I like working with different media to put together creative and interactive experiences. I have created an enhanced children’s book using Augmented Reality as well as created various animated shorts and other live-action skits. I also like teaching and mentoring other students, and am in the process of setting up a program to help students at Pomona College (where I went to college) navigate the graduate school application process. I am currently matching up interested seniors with current graduate students who will help them and give them feedback on their applications. The idea is to facilitate the process for students, thereby retaining a higher percentage of students in academia. I also enjoy staying active, and frequently workout and play soccer.
