What conference theme areas are you interested in (check all that apply):

Statistical modeling, methods, and computation;
High performance software: packages and design;
Applications in science, engineering, and industry;
Scientific simulation and uncertainty.

Interests:

My interest is in uncertainty quantification and reduction in fluid dynamics simulations. Specifically, I am looking at data assimilation (inverse problem) for Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations. This includes modeling random fields for physical properties (e.g. Reynold stress tensor) and determining/estimating spatial correlations.

Non-Work Related Activities/Interests:

I enjoy outdoor activities including hiking and camping. I also enjoy traveling (just spent summer 2018 in China). I am interested in promoting STEM for under-represented minorites which I have done in the past through volunteer/mentoring programs and involvement in the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).
