Chitrak received his Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Statistics from University of Calcutta, India. He is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Statistics at Michigan State University. His research area is broadly classified into Non-parametric statistics and Kernel smoothing methods and specifically he studies the Diffusion Tensor Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DT-MRI) to track neural fibers inside the human brain. He also has research interests in Automatic Differentiation and deploying it into various software packages.
