Interests:
As an information technology major at the United States Naval Academy I am interested in how networks work and to better encrypt information as nefarious cyber attacks are targeting not just the military but the private sector. Furthermore, I am working on doing a data study on the unique peer ranking system the United States Naval Academy has its midshipman partake in that helps to promote the moral, mental, and physical mission of the United States Naval Academy.
Non-Work Related Activities:
I am part of the United States Naval Academy STEM Outreach program. We promote STEM to underrepresented schools and youth through various activities that show the fun side of STEM. Some of these events include Girls Day, Sea Perch Day, and First One Robotics. I have had the opportunity to take on leadership roles that has helped me be able to better explain why I believe STEM is important and how being an Information Technology major has given me the tools to help contribute to the betterment of society.
