Join us in congratulating Aman Rani, a former SRP participant, who is breaking so many glass ceilings as the first first female to attend college from her extended family and the first to go outside her small city Patiala in India to further her studies. Aman is pursuing her research journey in the Mathematics and Statistics PhD Program at Texas Tech University. Aman participated in the SRP program in the summer of 2023 at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.
Recently, Aman was one of the winners of this year’s best student paper awards at the Copper Mountain conference.
The paper titled; “Efficient Solution for Fully Implicit Runge-Kutta Methods for Time-dependent Hyperbolic PDEs” includes work Aman and her mentor, Pieter Ghysels, did last summer at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab as part of the SRP summer program.
Aman shares her gratitude to the SRP program and the team for their support and for providing me the opportunity to work alongside Pieter. She has learned and grown so much from this experience, it’s invaluable.
