Department: Computer Science

Academic Status: Undergraduate Student

I am a Computer Science and Chemistry research fellow and junior undergraduate student at Bowdoin College. I have examined the accuracy of pseudo-potentials in predicting carbon dioxide absorption by molecular organic framework molecules using the HPC grid at my school. My passions for combatting climate change and algorithmic analysis motivates my research interests. My computer science background gives me a unique programming skills in Python, Java, and C and a general comfortability with new software. Outside of academics, I love running and playing guitar. I hope to bring my technical skills and smile to your lab.

It is not everyday that one has the opportunity to integrate more than one of their academic and research passions and be surrounded by those who the same love and drive to improve the world for those around them. If I were accepted into this program, I would be able to do exactly that. Beyond the obvious knowledge and research experience I would gain, the connections I would make in this field could serve me for the rest of my career. Additionally, SRP’s previous commitments to diversity in the workforce are appealing to me as a Black woman in STEM. would have the chance to connect with other people of color interested in the field, which does not happen often.
