Collaboration is key to help bring the ideas and efforts to find a cure to the horizon. More scientists are needed to work together and it can be done through the community.
Most of the advances in this era have been made collaboratively. Think: human genome, personal computers, and the Internet! All of these were built by groups of people. WeFold unlocks potential roadblocks and opens scientific collaboration around the world — one collaboration at a time, scientists can tackle and cure terrible diseases.
Over a 10 week period, a diverse group of 10 students and three faculty took part in the WeFold Boot Camp, where they tackled research in Protein Folding.
They submitted their research to the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics 2015 Computational Science and Engineering conference (SIAM CSE15) and were selected to present in March 2015.
