Proposed research ideas:

1. Artificial intelligence for materials design and discovery to push the limits of heat conduction for thermal energy harvesting, storage, and management 2. Understand interfacial thermal transport using advanced atomistic-level simulations 3. Multiscale simulations of thermal phonon transport from first-principles for hierarchical structures. 4. Optimizing the device and system performance of thermal energy converter and microelectronics cooling

Motivation:

Build the connection with computing research staff at Berkeley lab, foster collaboration, and leverage the cutting-edge computational resources and tools at Berkeley lab and my expertise in nanoscale thermal transport to push the research frontiers in computational thermal science and engineering
