Aimee E. Maurais

Aimee Maurais is a NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Cornell University. She completed her PhD in Computational Science and Engineering at MIT in 2026 and was previously an associate member of the technical staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. In her research she makes use of geometry and structure to develop principled computational methods for probabilistic modeling and inference, which encompasses Bayesian inference, generative modeling, and data science. In Fall 2027 she will join the School of Computational Science & Engineering at Georgia Tech as an assistant professor.

I participated in BE@CSE19 as an undergraduate and my experience there played a large role in my decision to pursue an academic research career. I have served on the organizing committee ever since in order to help others who are entering or considering entering the research community.
