Interests:
For quite some time I was interested in statistics related research. I have always enjoyed it as a subject and it seems so easily applicable to just about every facet of research. I was really drawn to the fact that I could combine statistics with any other subject and have a plethora of research topics to look at.
My other great interest is in inverse problems. I have not yet had the chance to do any research in this area yet, but it is probably the thing that I find most interesting right now and have put in significant time trying to better understand it. I would love to be able to hone my skills and do some research with inverse problems in the near future. Unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to take any formal classes in inverse problems, but I have studied PDEs, and this spring I will be taking a course in Nonlinear Dynamics.
