Biography:
Greetings! My name is Edwin Dewayne Washington Jr. I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and I am currently going to Florida A&M University studying Pure Mathematics. I have been surrounded by mathematics and science my whole life, as my mother and aunt are math and science teachers, respectively. My family really cultivated my interest in STEM. I was always around airplanes, robots, gaming, etc. I did not know what I would be doing after I graduated high school and it dawned upon me that all my interest involve math in some way, shape, or form. I keep asking myself what I will do after I am done with my undergraduate degree and the only thing I keep saying to myself is “”I want to be able to do anything.”” The versatility of mathematics is really what keeps me going for my interests. I also love being able to showcase what mathematicians can actually do!
