What conference theme areas are you interested in? Applications of data science across science, engineering, technology, and society; Applied probability; Approximation theory; Data assimilation, inverse problems, and statistical inference; Data mining; Dimensionality reduction; Knowledge representation and reasoning; Machine learning, including active, deep, reinforcement, and transfer learning; Network science; Optimization and control; Scalable algorithms and high-performance computing; Signal processing and information theory; Statistical learning theory; Theoretical computer science

Academic/Research Interests: My academic interests are in anything relating to the computer science field. I plan to get my Ph.D. in Computer Science and I’ve always been interested in computers. My love for computer science began with the introduction of computer science fundamentals by my high school robotics sponsor. I became so interested in Computer Science that I would ask more questions and explain the logic that I would like to convert to code. That teacher sparked a passion in me for computer science that I had been made aware of. My research interests are very broad and would like to have research experience in the fields that fall under STEM. I’ve gotten experience in Computer science and petroleum engineering and would like to use computer science in other fields as well.

Other Activities/Interests: I am with the organization TRiO STEM in which members are first generation college students. All the current mentors are biology majors and so are unable to advise as well to students in the Engineering field. I’ve taken time out of my day to assist students in engineering or computer engineering majors in who they can contact to conduct research. I explain my experience doing research and my conferences I’ve attended and motivate them with my achievements and encourage them to do research. Many of them are now currently conducting research or are planning.
