What conference theme areas are you interested in? Applications of data science (DS), ML, and AI, in all fields (e.g. health, sports, education, astrophysics, chemistry, earth science, materials science, biology, bioinformatics, neuroscience, economics, engineering, banking, finance, security, privacy, materials science, and social science); Deep learning; Machine learning (ML); Mathematics of artificial intelligence (AI); Network science; Optimization and control; Randomized algorithms for matrices and data; Signal processing and information theory
Academic/Research Interests: I am currently interested in applying numerical linear algebra techniques to real world problems. I am also interested in methods for data science, which include randomized algorithms, machine learning, and probabilistic modeling. And though I have not had much exposure to optimization and network science in my research, I am interested to learn more about the topics. In general, I am interested to learn more about anything in the realm of computational applied mathematics, especially those that have direct applications with real world problems.
Other Activities/Interests: I head the SIAM student chapter and serve on the leadership board in the AWM student chapter at NC State University. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking and learning about cooking through perspectives of various cultures, science, and nutrition. My other interests outside of school include both indoor and outdoor recreation, travel, local agriculture, and music.
