Are you a student or faculty member eager to collaborate with renowned scientists at a Department of Energy (DOE) National Lab? Applications are now open for the 2021 Sustainable Research Pathways Program! Don’t miss your chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind research experience alongside Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences staff.
Sustainable Research Pathways (SRP) began in 2015 when Berkeley Lab and Sustainable Horizons Institute (SHI) partnered to create a program to expand and diversify Berkeley Lab’s workforce. SRP has fostered over 250 research collaborations between faculty, students, and Berkeley Lab staff. You could be next!
If you are a faculty member, apply through the Faculty Track to bring your bright and aspiring students to participate in the program under your guidance. We strongly encourage you to invite students from under-represented backgrounds (women, minorities, students with disabilities, and first-generation students) to join your team. If you are a student, you can apply on your own through the Student Track which is for graduate and undergraduate students, or you can apply with your faculty mentor through the Faculty Track.
SRP has two parts: the exploratory matching workshop and summer research experience. The workshop consists of sessions to facilitate the matching process and prepare you and your students for summer research. Matched faculty-student teams and unaccompanied students then apply for the summer experience with guidance from SHI.
